The Secret Life

One of the best looking mermaid tails that I have seen in a long time can be found in the first photo of the Milk & Sea collection by artist photographer, Hana Vojackova.

Milk & Sea – The Secret Life of Mermaids is presented by ufunk, and contains six captivating examples of Hana's work. Be sure to follow the link to the artist's web site where you can read more about the collection.

"I traveled to different countries looking for inspiration and stories, and looking for local girls who felt a bit different or special."

Snow Shark
Squirrely and I still remember the deep freeze of 2010

While most of the United States has been in a deep freeze recently, not everyone is staying indoors. Up in the state of Minnesota, three brothers spent 95 hours building a 16-foot high (approx 4.88 meters) Snow Shark.

For the full story and photos, visit this article by Samir Mezahi at Buzzfeed. The article also features two videos. The first is a more detailed look at the creation, and the second shows how the Snow Shark was created.

Did anyone create a Snow Mermaid this year? Send me a photo!

Mermaid Doll

Over at the Gingerbread Snowflakes blog, Pam is sharing the sweet little mermaid doll that she created with the help of friends.

"Just look at that sweet sweet face! You can well imagine it was almost impossible to give her away!"

If you love craft projects, take some time and wander through Pam's site. You are sure to be inspired.

What If

It is good to ask What If kinds of questions. They make you think and help you to innovate.

Recently, the artist known as FERNL at Deviant Art thought, "What if all of the Disney princesses were mermaids?" The result was a collection of beautiful artworks shown in a recent blog post at B for Bel.

Can you name all of the princesses?

Best wishes and starfishes,
-Mermaid Cynthia
