A Mermaid’s Tale

In a review found at OnScreen, Ben Halford does not give 'A Mermaid's Tale' high marks, although he really seems to want to.

"Oftentimes it’s clumsy and flawed to comical levels. But thankfully it’s also not appalling."

Read the review, which includes the movie's official trailer, and then decide for yourself. A Mermaid's Tale is available now on DVD, Blu_Ray, and digital download. Run-time is 1.5 hours.

Eric Ekholm and family have created their own mermaid themed YouTube video series, Mermaid Secrets of The Deep. The first episode of season one, entitled Survivor, has been viewed more than 31 million times.

Over 60 episodes have been created so far. The family is currently working on season nine, so there is plenty of mer-fun to be had.

Safety Essentials

Mermaid swimming instructor Nicole Wildman knows that becoming a mermaid is more than putting on a tail and diving into the deep end.

In an article by Jennifer Gardner for the Charleston Gazette-Mail, we learn a number of Nicole's safety tips for mermaid swimmers. There is also a link to Nicole's Facebook page, with information on her swimming classes for children.

"Swimming with a tail is much harder than it looks, Wildman said, which is why she is teaching little girls and boys how to safely swim in a fin."

Be sure your children are well prepared before they take to the water.
