Severe storms have blanketed many parts of the United States with snow this winter. Many folks were without power for over a week.
The snow became the inspiration for a little mermaid magic at the home of pianist Louis Landon. I am told that the creature sitting in The Chair is a 'Snermaid'.
Louis Landon is no stranger to mermaids. His CD, Solo Piano for Love, Peace and Mermaids was released in 2010. It was mentioned in my very first blog post back in December of 2011.
Mr. Landon's latest work is entitled Peaceful Solo Piano from the Heart, and it was released in October of 2012.

Interspecies Internet
In last week's blog post, I remarked that we could learn a lot from dolphins, if only we could find a common language. It appears that Internet visionary Vint Cerf has already been thinking about that very thing.
Mr. Cerf is proposing an 'Interspecies Internet', where humans and other species may communicate.

We all remember the Giant Squid articles from the past few months, and the Discovery Channel special at the end of January.
The latest squid news is a short article by Jamie Condliffe on Gizmodo. Jamie points us to a YouTube video in which scientist Edith Widder tells us how they finally found the giant squid.
