Tiny Creatures

What's in your seawater? Seawater collected off the coast of Hawaii magnified just 25 times reveals quite a variety of tiny creatures.

In an article found at Laughing Squid, blogger Rollin Bishop shares a photo by David Liittschwager that shows what might be hidden in your seawater.

"A dipperful of seawater can reveal a hodgepodge of tiny free-swimmers and nebulous drifters that fog the water column."

Enjoy your swim, but please, don't drink the water!

Mermaid Traci Hines

Ever since Traci Hines posted a selfie of her mermaid persona, she has made quite a mer-name for herself. Her YouTube series, 'Life Lessons From a Hipster Mermaid' has become extremely popular.

"Mermaids are mysterious by nature – and dangerous. I don’t think anyone can fully understand the creature."

Find out more in this interview of Traci by Dazed Digital. The article includes a short video as well.

And, Traci Hines fans will want to swim on over to her personal web site.

Mythical Creatures

The Epoch Times presents, 'Mythical Creatures: Mermaids and Controversial Theories'. Did you know that the origins of mermaids, from the context of human mythology, can be traced back to a cave painting done 30,000 years ago during the late Paleolithic Era?

The article by Paul Darin also highlights the fact: "Nearly every culture on the planet has its own belief in mermaids."

When you are asked if you believe in mermaids, be sure to say, "Yes, I am one!"
